How Much Rent Can I Afford?
Use the one-third rule to find a sensible monthly rent.
- Yearly rent
- CHF 33'300
- Typical deposit (3 months)
- CHF 8'325
How it works
A common guideline is that rent should not exceed about one third of gross income. The calculator applies your chosen share to your income and shows the maximum monthly rent. Use it as a rule of thumb, not a bank requirement.
